Uhm...I forgot to mention that I went on a hunting trip this last weekend and couldn't update...ahaha...
And angry guest(s?) is right, I really don't update enough... *sigh* And I can't say I'm trying to make new pages, because I'm not. And the last time I tried drawing a page, it looked terrible lol... Welsher looked so bad it made me want to cry haha.
I'm in a rut. I can't really decide where to go in the story at the moment and my art is terrible and I have no motivation/inspiration. I have nothing to blame my lack of updates on other than my own laziness. I'm seriously considering taking a hiatus until I'm confident enough to make more pages. I don't know. Fuckkkk.
Aside from those angry guest(s) I'm pretty sure your fans don't want to rush you on your work. Although I think your art looks fine, the artist is their own worst critic. Take some time to yourself, relax.
You'll find your muse again.
And I don't know about the others, but I'll definitely wait for you :D <3
I know what ruts feel like, and they suck. So take a break, but don't give up okay! Your comic is wonderful, and I'm sure it'll be back on track in no time. So, just relax it'll come to you. Just try and remember the means to your end, it'll all work out!
Yo man. Take your time. remember, first and foremost, this is for you. You arn't getting paid for drawing this comic, so take your time, take a breather. Those who really truly like your comic will wait. C:
Much as I'd love to be supportive, tell you it's fine and to take your time, that'd be a lie. We all know hiatus is pretty much quitting. The end. Comic over. Updates don't have to be amazing. Just do what you can and put it up. Whoever doesn't like it can read something else, because honestly, most fans just want whatever you have to offer. I'd rather one or two sloppy page s at a time than huge absences where we're not really sure if we should even bother checking back. Just decide: Do you want to finish this, or are you done? If you don't feel the drive to keep going and work your way out of your rut, just tell us so we don't have to keep checking in hope of a new page.
Guest (Guest) how rude! You may have no idea what the artist may be going through! If BBH feels that a break is needed then she should take it. I am sure that if the hiatus does not help she will inform us that the comic will no longer be updated.
My best friend took a few months(?) hiatus on her comic Spina Cage then decided that she should redo the opening pages and has been steadly working on it since. Sometimes an artist just hits a block and cannot go on no matter how much they are told how good they are or yelled at. We need to accept that what BBH does is her decision and hers alone and she should do what she believes is best for her and the comic.
BTW, BBH I love Rebel Prince. Its cute, cuddly, and interesting. Do what you do, no matter how you do it! (As long as its not illegal)
hoshi- I haven't commented on here in forever =A=;;;; OTLOTL
I've got to agree with Jelly. You shouldn't really post/draw until you're really feeling it and are comfortable with your artings. A breather sounds like a good idea for you anyway, like a time to sleep or something.
If you want to take a hiatus go right ahead just please don't completely ditch this comic (because its amazing).I think your fans would prefer a hiatus where you can get your motivation back and come back with a plot and good art rather than have poorly drawn, no plot comic ( which this story totally isn't).
Don't worry too much, sometimes people need a break. Just forget about angry guest(s), you can't please everyone - better to just try to please yourself (Especially with webcomics where your only tie-down if you want to have a break is that you don't want to upset fans).
Anyways! Goodluck, I know how annoying and depressing it can be when you don't like your art even though you want to draw. *Dumps luck on you*
I find that maaking some hot boylove fillers/ addons to the plot line always helps for inspiration...
Or for the fanbase...
Stop updating and your babies will rape you
And not even in the good way either
Yes, there is a good way
That's too bad...!'^' But yah if drawing causes stress, then don't force it if you're not getting paid! I really like your comic, but I won't hire thugs to make you to continue if you want to take a break.:)
Buuut... a filler every now and then to keep your followers happy...?:D
Oh my. This comic is just amazinggg. I seriously love Bo and his awkwardness. -nods-
". . . my art is terrible and I have no motivation/inspiration."
NONSENSE. Your art is wonderful, and the more you draw and sketch, the more you improve. Like the say, practice makes perfect.
I agree and disagree with the Angry Guest (I dunno what to call zem ;3;). I mean, yes. Hiatus is sort of/kind of like quitting, but I understand how much work and time comics like this take, and you shouldn't worry about when your next update will be. It's your life. You have the right to do what you want with your time.
But PLEASE. Try to update as soon as you can because manymanymany people absolutely adore your work and would love to see more of it. ;]
Hey,you shouldn't worry too much about updating. Since this is not really your job, you should go at your own pace.
(Like me! I suck at updating because of laziness or I'm working on assignments/studying for school)
Angry guests are always angry, they probably get off the wrong side of the bed every morning or something.
Anyway, true fans will be understanding if you need time to develop your story, because a good story is all that matters in the end.
